Remove the spleen which is removing the abnormal red cells thereby producing an anemia.

Laparoscopic Splenectomy.

24 hours.
  Potential complications
 
SIDE EFFECTS - Patients with spleen out become vulnerable to certain types of pneumonia. One can be vaccinated for this prior to spleen removal. COMPLICATIONS - Bleeding or injury to other organs nearby.
