Close defect

Place a patch over the defect thereby preventing abdominal contents from protruding.

Laparoscopic ventral or umbilical hernia repair.

Outpatient.

SIDE EFFECTS - None. COMPLICATIONS - Infection, or bleeding or obstruction (from hernias) at the site where the scopes and instruments are inserted (rare).
