SIDE EFFECTS - Diarrhea when length of bowel removed is great. Sometimes certain vitamin deficiencies develop if a long segment at the end of the small intestine is removed. COMPLICATIONS - Leakage at the connected site. Possible stricture from scar tissue at the connected site. |
