Remove the diverticulum.

  Treatment
 
Remove diverticulum either by removing the section of small intestine where the diverticulum is located or by transecting the diverticulum at its attachment to the small intestine.
  Procedure
 

Laparaoscopic diverticulectomy or laparoscopic small bowel resection

1-2 days (depending on if a sectrion of intestine is removed and a reconnection is performed)
  Potential complications
 
Side effects - none. Complications - Stricture from scar tissue. Leakage at the site of connection if intestines are removed.
