| Perforated Sigmoid Diverticulum (Rupture of diverticulum on sigmoid colon) |

Remove section of sigmoid colon (located near the end of the colon) and bring out the upper portion as a colostomy. This is usually a temporary measure. To be connected later. |

3-4 days depending on the severity of infection caused by the perforation. |
