Anchor rectum within the abdomen by using a "mesh sling" to prevent the prolapse. Might require removing a portion of rectum and sigmoid colon. |

SIDE EFFECTS - None. COMPLICATIONS - Leakage at site of bowel connection of colon is removed. Stricture caused by scar tissue at the site of connection. |
